Burnham Beeches Radio Club is one of the oldest amateur radio clubs in the UK, having been
founded in 1937 as the Slough Radio Club. A move to Farnham Common about 30 years later prompted
a name change to reflect the proximity of nearby beauty spot Burnham Beeches. Today the club
meets twice monthly at Farnham Common, with frequent DX Picnics which offer long weekends away
from the rat race. We also provide training courses for all the UK amateur radio licences, and
take our part in the organising of the McMichael Rally every July near Reading. For more
